Forbush edges Surry Central on Mimiaga's PAT in overtime JOURNAL
STAFF REPORT Forbush 23, Surry Central 22 (OT): Bryan Renegar scored on a 1-yard run, and Cris Mimiaga followed with the decisive extra point last night as Forbush opened its season with an overtime victory at Dobson. Surry Central had the ball last in the overtime period and made it a one-point game when Jonathan Wilmoth connected with Austin Pendergrast on a 5-yard touchdown pass. Central lost its chance to extend the game, however, when Toby Wiles missed the extra-point try. Surry Central had a 16-7 lead with 2:20 left in regulation, but Mimiaga kicked a 38-yard field goal to slice the deficit to 16-10. Forbush tried an onside kick, but Central recovered. However, Wilmoth fumbled on second down, and the Falcons recovered. Renegar scored on 1-yard run after the turnover to tie the game at 16 with eight seconds left, but Mimiaga missed the extra-point kick, sending the game to overtime. Forbush took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 6-yard pass from Renegar to Seth Miller and Mimiaga's extra point. Brett Stanley caught a 20-yard pass from Wilmoth to pull Central to 7-6, then Wiles kicked a 34-yard field in the second quarter to put Central ahead 9-7 at the half. Wilmoth added a 9-yard run in the fourth quarter to give Central its 16-7 lead.

On April 7th, our 86 Red team visited the High Point jail and took a "tour of reality" for about an hour.
"On Friday, April 23rd, our PSA Stars 86 Red soccer team donated their time (about 2 hours) to serve the homeless of High Point at The Open Door Ministries' kitchen and dinning room. The U17 PSA premier team provided the food at a cost of $549.00. We feed 100 people that night and helped clean the kitchen and dinning areas to as the folks left. The
night manager of the "Open Door" kitchen estimated
that there was enough food to feed another 100 people
for the next night too."
